During the last ten years of our operations we have provided world-class corporate communication solutions to a diverse range of clients across Africa. Our corporate communications services are highly sought after by both national and multinational corporations in Kenya in particular, and Africa in general. For example, our public relations division now services some of the top multinational companies operating in Africa.

Picasso Productions has established itself as an innovative, dynamic and quality-conscious TV and Video production house. We use Avid, the latest television editing facilities used by such broadcasters like BBC and CNN.

We have undertaken numerous projects across Africa, ranging from breaking news and Television stories for both local and international broadcast networks.

We have also produced specialized Television features for transmission locally and internationally, and undertaken corporate video productions that have been shown globally.

Today we are the only production house that sources, originates and produces complete story packages for REUTERS “Africa Journal”. In collaboration with the Union of Radio and TV Networks in Africa, we co-produced three half hour TV documentaries for the Organization of Africa Unity (OAU). The documentaries dubbed “Africa’s Century” chronicles the continent’s struggle for de-colonization, fight against hunger, poverty and disease and the dream of an African Union as enshrined in the new African
Union Charter. Our six part documentary series dubbed the “Seeds of Hope”, which looks at agriculture in Africa has been shown internationally.

We also produced six documentary series on health in Africa, with a special focus on HIV/AIDS pandemic. The series is available in Portuguese, French, English and Kiswahili and will be shown worldwide.

Over the years we have created and executed strategic communication programs that help position our client in a competitive market. TV & VIDEO PRODUCTION
We are a leading Television and Radio force in Kenya and the Eastern Africa region. Our state of the art digital radio & TV (Avid) editing studio and excellent broadcast filming equipment, handles all levels of production from initial concept to finished product. We have full capacity for a whole range of multimedia products (DVD, CD, tapes and content creation), for both public and special audience, which we deliver through web, TV, print, radio, print and other modes.

CREATIVE DESIGN
As a full service provider, from concept through to print, we provide creative publishing and design management services for publications such as newsletters, magazines, calendars, corporate brochures and banners, and annual reports. Whatever the media, we will work with you to deliver innovative and stimulating products that will turn complex messages into clear and friendly communication. Our creative team will ensure that we compliment your overall marketing and or communication strategy.

PUBLISHING AND PHOTOGRAPHY
Picasso Productions publishes the only monthly Pan African newspaper that focuses on Agriculture, Health, Environment and Genetic Engineering in Africa. Biosafety News, now in its seventh year of distributed worldwide, is also available via our website www.biosafetynews.com. We also offer professional photography services to our clients for various use including news and archive.

MARKETING
The marketing division coordinates all marketing activities of the company and ensures that the company’s core business is enhanced through the various revenue earning activities. Our overall annual revenue target amounts to about Kshs. 150 million.

A. PUBLIC RELATIONS CONSULTANCY

We are currently undertaking Public Relations consultancy work for the following companies / organizations

1. We handled PR and publicity for the 13th ICASA conference which brought together 8,000 experts/delegates from 102 countries to discuss HIV/AIDS in Africa

2. World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) – We provide Public Relations and Media Liaison services.

3. Spin Knit Dairy Ltd. (the largest private dairy processor in Kenya with operations in Tanzania).

4. Cooper Kenya (the leading Animal Health Care company in Kenya).

5. The Mexico based International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center – (CIMMYT). We also undertake media monitoring services for them in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

6. Africa Biotechnology Stakeholders Forum, an organization that brings together all stakeholders in biotechnology in East, Central and Southern Africa.

7. Lonrho Hotels Kenya.

B. RADIO AND VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES

1. Produced a 10-minute corporate video for KenCell Communications, the leading mobile phone company in Kenya, to mark their first anniversary in Kenya. The documentary was shown on the three Kenyan Television channels and TV Africa, which is viewed in 26 countries in Africa.

2. Produced a half hour documentary on biotechnology in Africa that will be aired by public broadcasting stations in 50 African countries via URTNA.

3. Produced seven Television features, of seven minutes each, for Reuters “Africa Journal” shown on various Television stations in 32 countries.

4. Produced two-10 minute Television features for Caltex Oil (K) Ltd. The features were aired on KBC, KTN and Nation TV.

5. Produced a half-hour corporate documentary for Biotechnology Trust Africa highlighting their activities in Kenya. It has been shown on KBC, KTN and Nation TV.

6. Produced two 15-minute documentaries for the Mexico-based International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), on genetic engineering.
We shot the documentary in Mexico last year.

7. Produced four Television and Radio commercials for Kenol/Kobil. One a 30/45 second commercial for the new range of Kenol lubricants. Currently producing their TV commercial for Kenol LPG Gas.

8. Produced two documentaries for Spin Knit Dairy Ltd., the leading private dairy processor in Kenya. We have also produced two info-mercials for them.

9. Produced a 7-minute special news feature on Adnan Khasshogi, the famous Saudi billionaire arms dealer, for REUTERS “Africa journal”.

10. Produced a ten-minute documentary on the White Rhino in Kenya for BBC TV

11. Produced six 15-minute documentaries on agriculture in Africa. The series have been produced in both English and French and have been shown Africa wide. Transtel International in Europe is currently distributing them.

12. Produced 16 radio programs on agriculture in Africa. The programs of approximately 14 minutes each have been produced in English, Kiswahili and French.

13. Produced six TV programs of 15 minutes each for the 13th International conference on Aids and STI’S in Africa (ICASA) for distribution worldwide. Produced three short news stories on ICASA for CNN World report.

14. Produced 30-45 seconds radio spots for ICASA
